"The top one percent of American households owns more wealth than the bottom 90 percent combined. "
I really do think this crude FACT explains the obtuse clinging of the pseudo-left to nasty DNC based " identity politics ".
A more and more visible ruling class must seem to stand for some IDEAL higher than Ayn Rand's " Virtue of Selfishness ".
You can divide any abstract quantity into infinitely many smaller parts. ONE PERCENT of each of these parts added together still gives you ONE PERCENT. So if ONE PERCENT of the various endangered " identities " becomes privileged, the rest are inspired but WEALTH remains with the socially reinforced ONE PERCENT .
Did our aging ruling class " thinkers " find inspiration in the early 60s " New Math " ? I recall the famous " Distributive Law " : A ( B+C ) = AB +BC
Also for whatever its political significance : " The null set is a subset of all sets ".
Some of us working class people are forever confined to the null set - like the homeless and the neglected mentally ill and the elderly poor.
