I found it ironic that the narcissist " celebrity " news man , Gene Valicenti ( 630 WPRO ) , " Mr. 401 " - a man whose living depends on interacting with real or false PUBLIC OPINION - was giddy with joy over this announcement today from Providence Journal editor Alan Rosenberg .
Well as Karl Marx said many years ago : " The ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class ". But the bourgeois newspaper editors - ever in the service of the capitalist class - like to pretend that they are under pressure from a great silent majority of NICE PEOPLE out there to keep verbal nastiness ( REAL public opinion ) hidden.
And just WHO are the " Nice People ". Read British philosopher Bertrand Russell's essay with that title.
One solution : more than 100 years ago Lenin's Bolsheviks just took over the Czarist press. A victory for the WORKING CLASS !
