There is a SOLUTION to protecting women from predator males that recognizes that human beings are not normally isolated and atomized. One writer sees it this way : " In stable societies the control of human impulses is a collective responsibility. The individual is not expected to be able at all times to keep his or her impulses from breaking out in ways disapproved by the community. But this matters little , since the group is always near at hand to stop, shame, or punish should one forget oneself " ( From " The Pursuit of Loneliness - American culture at the breaking point " , by Philip Slater. The paperback I am reading was published way back in 1976. A long period of rot, indeed !
