If " socialism " is such a crackpot goofy idea , why does the mainstream news media ,and right wing vociferous Talk Radio, never stop bashing and " refuting " it ?
Does anybody get a job in the mainstream news media who is not " safe " on socialism ? The ruling class prefers born again reverence for Ayn Rand and her " Virtue of Selfishness " in young journalists.
Do astronomers waste time every day defending their science against astrology ? If " history is bunk ", then so is ANY possible science of history.
The ruling class intellectuals prefer not even to have a dialogue with Marxists. They just KNOW that history ended with American capitalism and the now forever " American Century ".
They just KNOW that " Marxism is a false ideology ". And they can starve you and your family to prove it. In extreme cases of rebellion there is the electric chair, the gas chamber, the firing squad, the hanging rope .
But anyway the CLASS STRUGGLE is not an academic debate. They have the POLICE to show you just who is right.
The capitalist system could not survive a day without lies and brutality. The mainstream news media supplies the lies. The police and the military supply the brutality. The World Socialist Web Site supplies truth.
