Democratic socialists have a deeper understanding of incipient
fascism than the neo-liberals. You begin to fight fascism by raising
CLASS consciousness not by pandering to race, gender, and sexual
orientation.
The whole purpose of " identity politics " is to dull working class consciousness. In just a few months the Hillary Democrats have evolved into a neo-con war party. You cannot fight fascism with an alliance of " liberals " - loyal to the capitalist way of life. History teaches that a bourgeois political party is quite helpless against a determined fascist movement.
The neo-liberals completely ignore the decay of " democracy " and growth of militarism -and the growth of the Orwellian Surveillance State- under President Barack Obama- his a presidency of endless war.
Do you think Establishment USA - the CIA, the FBI, the Pentagon, Wall ST. , the mainstream news media- all united in their support for Hawk Hillary - are a force to fight fascism ?
