" During Santiago's time with the Puerto Rico National Guard, he was deployed to
Iraq from April 2010 to February 2011. The U.S. pulled troops from the
country at the end of that year."
Esteban Santiago was clearly the victim of the criminal war in Iraq - " the greatest foreign policy blunder in United States history " . He is also a victim of the dysfunctional American mental health system.
We are brainwashed to say to any and all combat veterans : " Thank you for your service ". As if to bless the war itself.
And yet there is no end in sight for our Neo-Colonialism in the Middle East. The Hillary Democrats - now with their hysteria over Putin and war fever with Russia - sound more and more like neo-con war mongers.
Our Memorial Days honor war not the " falling through the cracks " disturbed, homeless, jobless , neglected war veterans.
