There is something morally shabby about underemployed , well known scientists devoting their time to bashing a nearly universal belief in God and ALL the world's great religions. The vast majority of these New Atheism Cult New Hate group idols ,public voices of SCIENCE, are themselves servile employees of capitalism , American imperialism, and Israeli Zionism . In the United States most professional scientists are directly employed by the military industrial complex or doing toxic research in some university for it. All their LOGIC & REASON hardly directs " critical thinking " at their plutocrat masters. When I ask any New Atheism Cult groupie how he or she applies their often sophomoric LOGIC & REASON to capitalism , American imperialism ,Israeli Zionism I get the verbal equivalent of a blank stare . Or a snarky insult : " Did you take your meds today ? " These very words were heard not infrequently by political dissidents in the old STALINIST era " officially atheist " Soviet Union . What were the moral and intellectual accomplishments of the old Soviet Union ? Marx was also a militant atheist but one with a profoundly HUMANIST social philosophy - unlike our New Atheist cranks today. Marx did say that " religion was the opium of the people ". But even here imagine if hospital doctors were ordered to stop giving patients morphine because SCIENCE proves that it does not cure disease ? I personally think that we will see " The End of Science " ( as a ruling class controlled institution ) before we see " The End of Faith " . Persecuting religion will only speed this process along !
