After reading about electric chair, state ritual executions in the last chapters of Theodore Dreiser's classic " An American Tragedy" , I was curious to know the more ghastly details of this form of execution. I recall a science book that caught my attention while browsing the stacks of the Providence Public Library: " The Amazing Electron".
