The New Atheist in a different sort of Catholic Purgatory ?

The New Atheism Cult must include the silliest intellectuals on the planet. Do the professional scientists among them have time for SCIENCE anymore ? Have these jackass YouTube lectures mocking God and Faith become a MAKE A BUCK obsession with them ? The last home of rabid hatred for RELIGION was tyrant Joseph Stalin's " officially atheist " Soviet Union . Do these New Atheist celebs fancy making " OUR democracy " officially atheist ? With them appointed prosecutors and persecutors of people of Faith ? The business of SCIENCE is SCIENCE - not settling for all time metaphysical questions about God , the probably supernatural, and the transcendent meaning of LIFE . Militant atheism that goes evangelistic is a case for abnormal psychology. Or at least symptomatic of morbid intellectual constipation . Picture an afterlife where a good God does not punish the wickedly-proud New Atheists with hell fire . No, HE sentences their immortal souls to finite eons ( a different sort of Catholic Purgatory ? ) in the absolute zero chill of dark intergalactic space surrounded by cosmic horror variations of glowing , composed of " God particle " anti-matter , made in the image of Lovecraftian Azathoth , FIENDS , always singing a mocking " Let there be light ! " Gregorian chant . Finally, after this semi-eternal stay in Purgatory, the purged New Atheist soul meets in a place where there is no darkness the Holy Ghost . And like Marley's ghost in Dickens " A Christmas Carol " he returns to earth to warn his fellow debased New Atheist Cult members : " But you were always a good man of SCIENCE, Sam ! " . To be met with a praeter-natural scream .
