Republicans win House majority to give Trump sweeping powers

As a longtime independent democratic socialist I do see a silver lining to the " shocking " ( ? ) outcome of Election 2024 in " OUR democracy ". The big mistake for parties and organizations " on the Left " was to ridiculously exaggerate MAGA-REPUBLICAN Donald Trump and his horde of working class " deplorables " as an imminent FASCIST treat to " OUR democracy ". With vacuous sound-bites marked APPROVE by the mainstream news media , the WOKE WARRIOR Democrats bloviated about " dictatorship " ( Trump's ) in a manner that suggested that THEY and their mainstream news media ( Trump invariably referred to it as " FAKE NEWS " media ) OWNED " OUR democracy ". But just WHO were really behaving in a manner characteristic of FASCISM for decades now ? Who routinely and shamelessly mocked and betrayed the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT , FREEDOM OF RELIGION tradition of Western Civilization ? The WOKE WARRIOR Democrats and their entourage of vacuous and narcissistic Hollywood celebrities stage managed a virtual reign of ideological terror against working class CHRISTIANS who were so imbued with nasty " hate " that they took their Bible , or the " Ten Commandments " , or the ancient moral teaching of the Catholic Church seriously ( the FBI was ordered to " investigate " PRO-LIFE Catholics ! ). If there was a FASCIST threat to " OUR democracy " it has had its home for decades now in the WOKE WARRIOR Democratic Party. Also, there was not one voice in the " PARTY OF THE PEOPLE " that spoke out for PEACE ON EARTH . It was the Democratic Party of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden that promoted the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism -as if they could get working class CHRISTIANS all blood thirsty excited about nuclear World War III with POST-COMMUNIST Russia. Just for the record : in the hopelessly BLUE state of Rhode Island I wrote- in FOR PRESIDENT : " Eugene V. Debs " ( his lively ghost ) . I voted for NO local Democrats . Am I too a FASCIST threat ?
