I commend the city of Johnston for harboring the classic Christopher Columbus statue

The WOKE WARRIOR Democratic Party in Rhode Island was completely foolish to wink at the vandalism of this classic Christopher Columbus statue unmolested for years at the intersection of Elmwood and Reservoir Ave.in Providence. Better direct the rage of still oppressed people - still oppressed by global capitalism and American imperialism- at lifeless statues than at the living exploiters and environment destroyers in this century. I cannot imagine the old " Occupy Wall Street " movement bringing down a Columbus statue. The great courageous Italian navigator Christopher Columbus opened up half the world to more advanced Western Civilization. Targeting the relics and symbols of HISTORY is simply barbaric. I commend the city of Johnston for harboring the Columbus statue.
