Democratic socialists support 1400 Kellogg's workers on strike

It is ridiculous to assume that American workers in " normal " times are cheerful idiot wage slaves. Most JOBS in capitalist society tend to rot both body and soul. THEIR economic system is just what Marx and Engels described back in 1848 : a system of exploitation and oppression. Just " taxing the rich " will not change the fundamentals. There is no NICE way to preside over wage slavery. There is always the class that buys human labor power and the class that must sell their human labor power. Very few working class people nowadays even get to own their home or keep it soon after retirement . So why should the working class be passionate believers in PRIVATE PROPERTY ? In general, working class people benefit from everything that smacks of " socialism " to Republican conservatives. To be sure , they hate to impose the national debt on their already PRIVILEGED children . THEIR military , THEIR CIA , THEIR FBI, THEIR police, THEIR prison system serves THEIR interests. As does their mainstream news media . And so called SOCIAL MEDIA is becoming more and more under THEIR control , becoming less and less democratic. THEIR professors at elite universities are now the most docile intellectual class in human history. And most public school teachers dare not step out of the line drawn by ruling class ideology . Not for nothing Marx said that " the ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class ". Even obtuse newspaper editors and reporters get that .

There is enormous potential to not only build up support for the Kellogg’s strike among workers across the world, but to construct a global movement of the working class against inequality, inhumane working conditions and the sacrifice of workers’ lives during the pandemic for private profit.
