Why is America obsessed with RACE and GENDER ?

The general social philosophy of Democratic socialism can offer a fairly rational explanation for America's obsession with RACE and GENDER. Long ago Karl Marx made this pithy observation: The ruling ideas in any society are the ideas of its ruling class.Clearly the American ruling class is more comfortable dealing with and talking about racial and gender inequality. Just as long as its holy of holies--PRIVATE. PROPERTY RIGHTS-- is unchallenged and unmentioned . Just what can THEY do to end racism and sexism ? They can selectively groom by AFFIRMATIVE ACTION agenda an ELITE of the resentful and ambitious already inclined to play the race card and the gender card. But DNC based identity politics has nothing to offer most working class people of whatever designated IDENTITY.But the American plutocracy can at least seem like a PROGRESSIVE " community" itself with a big kind heart. And its very controlled main stream news media can make itself the judge of GOOD and EVIL, of who is naughty and who is nice.And Chuck Todd and Lester Holt can preside over the FAKE NEWS KINGDOM .
