Working class socialists- avoid vulgar patriotism - while still " loving their country " in JUSTICE ( as Albert Camus would say ) .
For socialists LOYALTY means loyalty to the working class not to the state of the capitalist exploiters, not to vapid racial or ethnic identities.
The " liberal " Democrats sound a lot like the John Birch Society zealots in Dallas on November 22, 1963, circulating leaflets accusing JFK of high treason.
I read back then that even Roosevelt sold out to Stalin at Yalta, that President Eisenhower was also flirting with treason. That fluorinated water was a communist plot .
The Democratic Party has quickly evolved into a neo-con WAR PARTY , the kind that anti-imperialist author Mark Twain ridiculed more than a century ago.
What ever happened to " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders' focus on the FAILURE of " democracy " in America, on horrendous economic inequality in this very special " God's Country " ?
