Denied pain medicine , too many patients might reconsider suicide
After surgery in a Maine town for a kidney tumor and an excruciating kidney stone my 66 year old brother on Medicare was offered only over the counter Tylenol for the pain.
Are medical doctors getting both paranoid and stupid and cruelly indifferent to PAIN ?
You could end up blessing all the benign vendors of street heroin - or those medical marijuana pioneers . Human beings in pain should not need a venal doctor's prescription.
Morphine should be as available as alcohol . Don't worry about seniors getting " addicted ".
Anti-pain medicine was a great blessing to humanity . Don't let an obtuse medical bureaucracy sabotage it. Too many patients might " reconsider " suicide .
