It is all too easy to mentally connect this creepy news with buried memories of old 1950s- 1960s horror films . And what can be lurking in these loathsome , abominable, TOXIC flood waters ? " The Blob " ? " The Thing " , The radioactive nightmare monster in " The Day the World Ended " ( one character was " prepared for all this ", you know ) .
But in truth American capitalist society - with so much wealth and resources locked up in people hating PRIVATE PROPERTY - is not prepared for great disasters, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, plagues. The poor people suffering them will witness a tremendous SAVE THE RICH, SAVE PRIVATE PROPERTY effort by THEIR government. Malthus pray for us !
If Hurricane Harvey can do all this damage , create all this human misery ( even animal misery , your poor beloved pets ) what will THEY( our great leaders ) do for us on " The Day After " a nuclear holocaust ?
