From the perspective of a democratic socialist there is nothing
sensational about an American capitalist politician converting from
Democrat to Republican. Both major parties are pro-war and
pro-capitalist.
The neo-liberal Democrats are a long way from the spirit
of FDR and his New Deal.
That crowd in West Virgina cheering Trump was right about one
thing : the FAKE NEWS media's big lie about Russian meddling in the 2016
presidential election.
Of course, the revolutionary Russia of 1917
would not have hesitated to " meddle " in our politics. Imagine a Lenin
making the sinister call : " Workers of the world unite ! ".
Where is " democracy " in the USA when plutocrats are taking
direct control of federal, state, city and town government ?
Millionaires and billionaires know what is best for the rest of us ?
Like the everyday misery of capitalist exploitation and oppression and endless, stupid imperialist war
