But the " right to work " has a quite different meaning for libertarians and for democratic socialists. In a capitalist society there is no right to work , right to a paying job in the " job market " unless some capitalists can profit from your labor.
Bourgeois thinkers cannot even imagine an economic order in which USE VALUE prevails - in which society's resources are invested in basic human needs and the social super-structure. Not everything need be a commodity - higher education and health care, for example.
Why should any healthy workers feel " useless " just because CAPITAL cannot presently profit from their labor skills ? Did they all fail to make the right choices in their professional, technical , or vocational education ?
And if we get to the point where robots can do all the " busy work " - and a lot of the brain work- is the working class then drop-dead obsolete ? At this point some form of socialism becomes a humanitarian necessity.
