That is why we can't tax the rich even to keep the infra-structure from falling apart, keep the public schools from appalling deterioration ? The rich will move ! . Democratic socialism long ago had a cure for this problem: it does not acknowledge the " freedom of Capital ".
More and more the " freedom of Capital " is the denial of both freedom and human dignity to the vast majority of working class people on this planet.
Democratic socialism on every continent questions and challenges the moral legitimacy of " legitimate " wealth. Under this system no longer have the wealthy the right to be rich anymore than working class people will have the right to win millions in the state lottery.
Under democratic socialism it will be considered a sign of social insanity to claim you own natural resources : like a gold mine, a coal mine, a diamond mine, oil wells, acres of fertile land, natural forests, islands in the ocean, or even lots of MONEY in a bank.
Also forget about TRUST FUNDS for your spoiled brat kids. Your stocks and bonds will be NULL & VOID. The socialist state will owe you no interest on any bonds.
The democratic socialist state has " moral obligation bonds " only to the common welfare.
And who can complain ? The majority rules !
