Hillary
Clinton could best use her influence on fellow Democrats by boldly
opposing the death penalty in all states of the United States. To be
sure, that will help to " make up " to the immense injustice of
America's prison system, of America's " Gulag ", to so many black
Americans.
But class -not race- is the fundamental injustice keeping ALL working class Americans down in more recent decades.
Hillary Clinton will be bringing her presidential campaign to my Rhode Island today. She will be speaking in depressed Central Falls , I read. Good choice, but what has Wall St. done for Rhode Island lately ?
On Sunday at noon, in Roger Williams Park , " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders speaks. I think that Bernie's focus on unacceptable economic inequality goes deeper to the roots of injustice in America than Hillary's tiresome " identity politics ".
And " more love and kindness " Hillary could be less hawkish on foreign policy and more sensitive to ALL people of the Middle East.
The last Brown University poll had her winning the Democratic Primary here on Tuesday. But remember Michigan. And that poll was taken months ago.
