" Sin " is not always the business of the state

As a democratic socialist myself -coming from a Catholic background- I would say that Donald Trump's " come to Jesus moment " was more morally acceptable than the many " Ayn Rand moments " of the rest of the Republican presidential candidates.

There is quite a difference between the militant atheist Ayn Rand's " Virtue of Selfishness " and the Jesus " Sermon on the Mount ".

In a speech trying to stop Obamacare Senator Ted Cruz quoted from Ayn Rand's cult classic " Atlas Shrugged " and said " we are living in the time of Ayn Rand " ( ? ) . Strange remark for a born again Christian.

By the way, democratic socialists would not criminalize abortion or prostitution. "

Sin " is not always the business of the state. Unacceptable economic equality is." More love and kindness " Hillary Clinton cannot even oppose the state death penalty.Or the New Colonialism. Or even Wall St. capitalism.
