Former President Bill Clinton was always a " charmer ". I voted for
him twice- with no regrets. The Warwick Campus of CCRI was an excellent
choice for his Rhode Island appearance.It enshrines working class HOPE.
But after the experience of the Great Recession and the disillusion
with the Obama presidency I think " utopian " democratic socialism is
more pragmatic than any neo-liberal agendas.
I suspect that " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders is too " pragmatic " himself - trying to change the soul of the political establishment of the Democratic Party. But I do intend to vote for him in the Rhode Island Democratic Party. I suspect that after Sanders' recent string of victories in state primaries and caucuses that earlier poll here is way off.
Presently Bill Clinton seems about as politically relevant as Jeb Bush. The Zeitgeist is smiling at the anti-establishment presidential candidates.
