As a pre-Vatican II type Catholic I think that the Anti-Christ inspired Vatican II reforms deprived the " Rock of Peter " with its 2000 year aura of sacred mystique and gravitas .The decadent atmosphere in the reformed Catholic seminaries ( read " Catholic Family News ) mass produced the then young generation of seedy WOKE priests ( not the constrained, self-controlled homosexuals , often saint like , of the classic Catholicism of the Middle Ages ) . Year after year in the decades following Vatican II their Sunday sermons became more and more vacuous and vulgar ( even pronouncing their own blessing on Israeli Zionism ! ) . Little respect was shown for the Holy Eucharist ritual. The " New Catholic Priest " , as a type , wanted to be seen not as a self -respecting " man of God but as a consciously uninspiring " regular guy " but with Johnny Carson comedy talent when speaking from the pulpit . Hearing their sermons now and then , I would think : " Well, if you're such a regular guy [ with your green T--shirt and foul mouth ] you really had no business becoming a Catholic priest.. The perfect model of this " New Catholic Priest " was the disgraced " celebrity priest " Father John Corapi . Scandalously siding with American militarism at the time of the disastrous Iraq War , Father Corapi told an audience that " Mother Mary wears combat boots " . This was the voice of the Catholic Church branch of so called " Christian Nationalism " You might thinking I am blaming all the child abuse sex scandals of all these multi- Catholic Church dioceses on the spirit of Vatican II . But not quite . There was also the inevitable , hell damning role of wicked SIN
