I think the LOGIC of Marxism is supreme in understanding the nature and dynamics of the capitalist system . Certainly Karl Marx believed in the organization and revolutionary potential of the working class. What has failed miserably for more than a century now is a succession of Marxist " vanguard " parties . In power they have created one " officially atheist " nightmare tyranny after another. Outside power they create numerous failed personality cult monstrosities with which no person with any intellectual integrity would want to associate. As a longtime independent democratic socialist and a pre-Vatican II Catholic I see hope only in the creation of an American Labor Party with a mass base . The fate of PRIVATE PROPERTY and THE STATE can be decided in a completely democratic forum with no " vanguard party " intrigue. What does the WORKING CLASS really want ? The " dictatorship of the proletariat " ? Probably not. But maybe !
Inspired from youth by Albert Camus' sense of the Absurd, I try to be a voice for REASON in the growing darkness and moral insanity of global capitalism .
