I have mixed feelings about this meeting between " socialist" Mamdani and "fascist Trump.In its tone it was a fine example of peaceful co existence between IDEAS on the best social order.Does Mamdani have a vision of a feeble, non- threatening Socialism in One City? I note that the more formidable idea COMMUNISM is hardly evangelistic in post Mao China.As a cause SOCIALISM has been betrayed by its ruling class vetted leaders for more than a century.Recall the Russian revolutionary leader Leon Trotsky in exile writing THE REVOLUTION BETRAYED?
