MASS IDIOCRACY: The Cost Of The Disappearance Of Wisdom [ The " intellectual " was used, never really respected in capitalist society ]

The problem with decaying capitalist society in " OUR democracy " is not that it once respected " intellect " but for some unmentioned reason now attacks " the intellectual " . The " intellectual class " in America, a mostly smug, snobby , petty-bourgeois layer of WELL EMPLOYED academic, scholars, writers, journalists, scientists, the higher clergy , were never INDEPENDENT of the capitalist ruling class nor very respected by the capitalist ruling class. It is very clear, especially in this past decade, that decaying capitalism is bringing about even the spiritual " End of Science " ( read the John Horgan book) . Decaying capitalism seems to be patronizing these ubiquitous New Atheist evangelists on YouTube who would have YOU believe that the focus of the IRRATIONAL and ILLOGICAL in today's world , and in the world of the past, is the religious belief, the pernicious FAITH IN GOD of the masses . Find an EMPLOYED ( a securely employed ) self-described " intellectual " who is not subservient to CAPITALISM, militarism ( in the USA our notorious " military industrial complex ) , American imperialism , and Israeli Zionism ? Yes , you can have a very high IQ in this society and still be a lackey of " The Power Elite " . BRAINS are bought and sold on the " free market " ! NOTE : A forbidden goal of public education today is to enlighten the masses and to teach them " critical thinking " skills. THE SYSTEM would not survive a week if there were an epidemic of " critical thinking " in " OUR democracy " . Would it? So thank God ( excuse my vulgarity ) for popular TALK RADIO SHOW hosts who guide public opinion and keep it from straying outside the box containing " the ideas of the ruling class " - which Karl Marx said way back in 1848 were " the ruling ideas " . But not forever !
