Fascinating life of pioneer atomic physicist Lise Meitner

This promises to be a more interesting book than I thought . Last night I read the first chapter on Lise Meitner's idyllic girlhood in old Vienna. Her family was Jewish , very much humanist and science oriented , not much identifying themselves with the influx into Austria of ethnic religious Jews. I will get around to reading the whole book about this brilliant scientist ( at a time when it was very difficult to be a woman professional in anything except elementary school teaching) . Along with German chemist Otto Hahn her insight into NUCLEAR FISSION ( a shocking realization of Einstein's E=mc * squared ) prepared the way for the incredible Manhattan Project. She is played by an actress in the recent movie " Oppenheimer ". Ironic how her SCIENCE & HUMANISM culminated in the atomic bomb , in Hiroshima and Nagasaki .
