As a longtime independent democratic socialist I think the ultimate solution of the now epoch migration crisis on the US border is applying EUROPEAN UNION concepts to the whole of North America, Canada , Central and South America. We could have capital cities in Toronto and Buenos Aires. No one country will be overwhelmed with desperate " illegal immigrants ". The treasury of the GREAT UNION can be located at Fort Knox. Just re-design the currency . If we apply ZOOLOGICAL concepts to human migration all over the world , we see that no LIVING SPECIES ever hesitated to defy even NATURAL borders ? What can be said for artificial nation-state borders ? Just a cliche ? The HUMAN race is one ?
