LEE SOLOM ] 1 Comment Ron Ruggieri I finally located the obituary of an old friend,Mortimer Simons, who for a number of years employed me as a helper around his Bayview Ave. home in Cranston. Mort came from a Russian Jewish background and once decribed himself as " right wing Marxist " . We had many interesting conversations on politics USA and on the then still existing Soviet Union. In matters of religion he clearly shared the views of the British agnostic Bertrand Russell. One day in 1992 I learned from his wife Anita that Mort died of mesothelioma - probable connected with asbestos contact while serving in the Merchant Marine.
