Twenty years since the death of Marxist historian and sociologist Vadim Rogovin

 

I recall vividly a remark Leon Trotsky made in " The Revolution Betrayed " which I read circa 1970 . In exile Trotsky said that it was time to recognize that a new Aristocracy has risen in the USSR . Thanks to the historian, " Vadim Zakharovich Rogovin, the greatest Soviet and Russian Marxist sociologist and historian of the second half of the twentieth century " ... we can get the details.

              And how to prevent such a new ruling class from crystalizing in a future socialist society ? There are no simple answers.
