The " pseudo-Left " is certainly no figment of your imagination. I am hardly an authority on this convoluted -nearly Byzantine- political intrigue " on the Left ". But any " socialist " that cautions me against " knee jerk anti-imperialism " is no friend of the working class in my opinion. Give me a " class struggle fanatic " any day !
True proletarian politicians - can come from very middle class backgrounds- but have class struggle instincts in their guts. I can sense these " pseudo-Left " types just by the way they drive a car: they rarely pay much attention to pedestrians at cross walks . Extreme self-centeredness is incompatible with class consciousness.
One pseudo-left type I knew thought it was " radical " to walk out of a restaurant without paying the bill- not even tipping the waitress.
I swear on my old-not so jerky knees- little things unmask the false " friends of labor ".
And an international socialist should never sound like Henry Kissinger-before or after he won the Nobel Peace Prize.
