I think the vast majority of human beings on this planet have some form
of religious affiliation. To be sure, the New Atheists resent this. But I
see more HATE in the New Atheism than I do in the vast majority of the
world's devout Muslims. Nothing suspicious about a Christian or Jew
suddenly taking God more seriously ? But the next step for a Muslim is
the automatic weapons shop ?
Syed Farook and his wife were " living the good life " , the American Dream. But the American Dream seems to turn rotten for millions of Tea Party Republicans too. Ayn Rand Thought can be just as dangerous as ancient passages in the Holy Koran.
Alienation -bordering on insanity- is a disease of global capitalism in an advanced state of decay.
During the long Cold War era alienated young people gravitated toward world communism. Some -sad to say - became devoted to the atheist Pope in Moscow . True believers come in all forms.
I guess I am one myself: Does Bernie Sanders make sense to YOU ? Socialism is great !
