This " rare talent " in the corporate ROOM AT THE TOP is mostly a public relations myth. The capitalist owners buy talent and brains already on the market. To be sure, souls are always FOR SALE too.
A rare talent for what ? For lying, cheating, swindling, exploiting ?
If you equate EFFORT with REWARD the salaries of CEOs are indeed extravagant. Medical science knows only one objective measure of mental and physical effort: CALORIES. If The Donald's brain were burning up even ten times more calories than Radical Ron's , it would have a biochemical meltdown.
Just a basic moral principle as old as the human family: a good mother does not feed her smart child steak and her " dummy " cheap hot dogs.
What we need in this country is a national debate on the rational basis of wealth. Real socialists ( Bernie Sanders ? ) challenge the very legitimacy of " legitimate " wealth .
Also there has been a GREENING of SOCIALISM. Most socialists recognize the science of ecology and the limits on population and economic growth. Homo- sapiens is a failed species if it chokes in its own toxic wastes and insane " productivity ".
