I agree with your editorial today ( Aug. 25 ) that these are tough
times for journalists. Also consider that a retired Army Colonel (
Lonnie Barham ) sets himself up as judge of which journalists are
employable in our democratic society. Certainly not incorrigible old
Bolsheviks like former Providence Journal editorial page editor, Robert
Whitcomb. ( Lonnie's letter in yesterday's Sunday Journal ).
