Lisnoff the turnoff

The tone of Howard Lisnoff's letters is familiar to the

unbrainwashed student of the American Left :  no nonsense

political correctness, desperately in need of a little common

    sense and common humanity.

Howard was SHOCKED by  a Projo editorial that

suggested that  the U.S. and its allies were  the " good

guys in the Indochina war - indeed the writer had " reached

    the heights of callousness... "

The Vietnam war was a great tragedy.  I myself

protested it -with some passion. But there was no lack

of moral arrogance in the Movement. I recognized many

a budding Joe Stalin in the leaders of the anti-war

    demonstrations.

Today many of these self-righteous , left -wing

saints are tenured college and university professors -

formidable foes of FREE SPEECH and FREE THOUGHT on the

    campus.

Their peculiar revolution can best be described

as Left-wing McCarthyism. They are simply ruining higher

    education in the United States.

             PEACE !
