Some hack Democrats getting " identity politics " right

     Biagio Trofa ( letter , Nov 5 ) makes a valid point about Froma Harrop's now negative view of DNC based " identity politics " :

              As a long time INDEPENDENT democratic socialist  I see economic CLASS- not RACE or ethnicity - offering  a more lucid explanation of much enduring social injustice.

             Behind the vicious " identity politics " is a not so subtle defense and promotion of always invidious , aggressive affirmative action. 

                    Does not the mainstream news media , for example , telling the black community everyday that WHITE SUPREMACY is still keeping them down , encourage a psychotic chip on the shoulder ?  And even explains a notable increase in " black community " faces in the even more deplorable  CRIME NEWS ?

                    Always unmasking " racism " is a smear tactic  on millions of white working class Christians -who are no doubt  still tempted to re-elect President Donald Trump. Nope , no HATE here -only justified resentment at the New McCarthyism.

            

The obtuse Left should see Trump not as American Hitler but THE LESSER EVIL

Rather than falsely paint President Donald Trump as the " American Hitler " the generic Left and those rather obtuse sectarian Marxist parties should at least describe Trump- presently- as THE LESSER EVIL.

I see Anti-Fa and the New Democrats as promoting the HATE TRUMP , IMPEACH TRUMP , HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism. What horrors of robot like GROUP THINK , of lock step political conformity - even on the right TWO MINUTES HATE person of the week .

To what a horrible degree has the generic Left abandoned the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization ? How many brainless HATERS on the Left ? THEY lead the way to a STALINIST future of dictatorship OVER the proletariat . Now SCIENCE says that 2+2 = 5 ?

Can the American military save the homeless ?

The endless homeless crisis in the United States clearly demands an AUTHORITARIAN solution ( NOT fascist , NOT communist ) . The chronic homeless are a danger to themselves and a threat to public health. Consider the American military to the rescue here. Thousands of sickly homeless can be transported to quickly assembled military style barracks with clean beds , laundry rooms, nourishing cafeteria food , and open door social service offices. They can learn ABC survival skills and recover something vital called SELF-RESPECT . ACLU is warped here in thinking that HOMELESSNESS should be a right . HAVING A DECENT HOME should be a human right . HUMAN RIGHTS should not include the RIGHT to be homeless , the RIGHT to beg . Here is where AUTHORITARIANISM is needed : you can't regiment the homeless without also putting the real estate gentry , the landlord class, on notice that their private property rights are not absolute . Rigid RENT CONTROL and prosecution of negligent slum lords is also necessary . Neither LIBERALISM nor FREE ENTERPRISE can begin to solve the homeless problem in the United States or in any other capitalist country .

Tolstoy's genius on the psychology of marriage

   Last night I finished reading a brilliantly CRAZY short novel on the psychology of marriage . It is titled " The Kreutzer Sonata " -  an obscure classic.  SCARY reading for individuals nervous about crude TRUTH .

      The CRAZY " hero " of the novel  is on a train in late 19th century Russia . In a maniacal mood he tries to explain to an interested male passenger just WHY he had to kill his beautiful wife who he really LOVED so much.  

       The Russian court did not find him guilty of murder - as his dignity and sanity were offended by his wife's romance with a morally depraved musician. 

                      One ends up wondering from the CRAZY MAN's  dark tale if human sexuality is simply opposed to pure affection !

 The TRUTH about marriage ?
