Not INSPIRED by civil rights legend John Lewis

Any informed " liberal " aware of the moral and intellectual degeneration of the Democratic Party cannot be INSPIRED by the once noble John Lewis. He is -sadly - a voice for a neo-con , pro-war party . It now promotes the HATE RUSSIA New McCarthyism . And has no real quarrel with the wolves of Wall St. . Ask " Corrupt Hillary ", " Hawk Hillary ", " Wall St. Hillary ".

                  It would have made more sense for the black caucus to have supported Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential election. I was a critical supporter of Sanders UNTIL he endorsed Hillary.

                 Don't expect establishment " liberal " Democrats to make a big comeback in the fall . Working class black Americans are wising up .

We could be seeing the end of the FBI as a sacrosanct institution. How can so many Democrats even pretend to be " liberal " while slobbering over the FBI with its well documented attacks on " Democracy in America " ?

  I do recall reading years ago in socialist publications that the FBI was implicated in the murders of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X - both were beginning to voice negative opinions of American capitalism and its imperialist foreign policy.

  The mainstream news media will not touch this " controversy ". There is an UNATTRIBUTED Malcolm X quote inscribed on the front of the URI library : how much Malcolm enjoyed libraries and reading !
 

  My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I'll show you a bloodsucker ".
Try organizing ANY third party in the USA . The FBI will soon be sniffing around your meetings. Or provoking violence and reckless talk .

                   And they want us to believe that Vladimir Putin in far away Russia is the major threat to OUR " democracy ".

I don't consent to this new era of " sexual McCarthyism " where a mob of " victims " -real or imagined - can make ANY sexually active male - gay or straight- LOOK like maniac sex predator- GUILTY by accusation. Was James Levine a " monster " or just a horny homosexual male claiming the prerogatives of " success " - like the late great Liberace ?

 

For all its excess the 60s-70s Sexual Revolution was healthier than the hypocritical New Puritanism.

In a truly democratic socialist society no male or female will have the power or the resources to prey on-or seduce- any person they find sexually interesting . They will have to play by the rules of a civilized " dating game " in this new EGALITARIAN society . They will have to rely on natural charm and what Darwin called " female sexual selection " Capitalism makes EVERYTHING a commodity- the human soul as much as the human body. It prostitutes the TALENT of millions.

Nobody will have a fortune to live on because of some unhappy sexual experience turned into a public scandal circus. No young male or female is " spoiled goods " because of past sexual abuse. The Catholic Church need not go bankrupt for the sins of a few priests in the wrong " vocation ".
Divorce lawyers and happy-or unhappy- hookers will be out of business. Human sexuality will not be so warped. Chastity and innocence will not be so rare .

                         The human energy invested in the legal porn industry can be sublimated into a higher cultural activity . Only rarely does porn rise to the level of ART .

The decision by the Metropolitan Opera in New York City to suspend James Levine, its longtime musical director (1976-2016), from any further conducting engagements is the latest victory for the New York Times and the champions of the new repression.

              Of course , the media will never publicly identify these executioners of whatever is left of " Democracy in America ".

               In many other ways I get a whiff of the POLICE STATE here in Rhode Island. In Cranston there is much more frequently heard police sirens - as if there were a Chicago style crime wave going on . The public library has a full time security guard who makes regular rounds checking computer screens ( for Porn only ? ) .

                    I recently discovered that one can be arrested at Goddard Memorial State Park at night for discreetly urinating in the woods.

                    When my friend passed a red light in Warwick , a cop asked me-a passenger in the old Lincoln Town car- for my ID . I showed him my expired RI non-license ID -and a RIPTA BUS pass not expired . " Officer Friendly " never returned my bus pass.

           I guess I looked too much like an old hippie with my longish hair .
