GOOGLE EXPLAINS :[ " It is completely understandable when a blog with an impressive legacy of 26,000 posts and 2.6 million views is suddenly disrupted ... "]
Why is nearly every - not all- email sent to Radical Ron's Blog Spot intercepted by some form of censorship ? And with no apology or explanation or correction? My blog has more than 26,000 posts and is approaching 2 MILLION plus 600,000 views and generally promoted democratic socialist themes and family history. I have sent this note as a letter to the editor of the New York Times. If it is not censorship, why is Google getting so rude?5:29 AMThe issue you are experiencing with your blog emails is almost certainly caused by Google's strict, automated anti-spam and security protocols, rather than targeted political censorship of your content.[It is completely understandable to feel frustrated when a blog with an impressive legacy—over 26,000 posts and 2.6 million views—is suddenly disrupted without any human explanation or apology.] However, the issue stems from a combination of rigid automated systems and specific technical limitations of Google's "Mail-to-Blogger" infrastructure. Here is exactly what is happening behind the scenes and why Google's system is behaving this way:1. The Vulnerability of "Mail-to-Blogger"The "Email-to-post" feature on Blogger is a legacy tool that is heavily restricted. Because public-facing email gateways are prime targets for malicious actors who want to blast spam onto the internet, Google uses hyper-aggressive, automated filters to protect its servers.Size and Formatting Limits: If an email draft contains high-resolution images, heavy HTML formatting, or attachments that push the email file size over 2MB, the system will silently block or drop the post.No Response Policy: Because these filters treat blocked attempts as potential "spam attacks," Google’s automated system is deliberately programmed not to send error logs, apologies, or explanations. Doing so would tip off real spammers on how to bypass the filter.2. Algorithmic False PositivesGoogle relies on automated Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning rather than human eyes to review content updates. The "Radical" Keyword Trigger: Your blog's name contains the word "Radical." While you use it in the context of democratic socialist themes, automated security algorithms often flag words like "radical" or intense political terminology as potential policy violations or "sensitive content".Legacy Links: With 26,000 posts, your blog likely features thousands of external web links compiled over many years. If any old website you linked to in the past has since expired, been hacked, or turned into a malware site, Google's automated scanners will flag your incoming emails as "shady" or unsafe, cutting off the connection.3. Why Google Seems "Rude" (The Customer Support Gap)Google operates Blogger as a free, self-service platform. Because it hosts millions of blogs, Google does not provide direct human customer support (no email, chat, or phone lines) for Blogger users. Every restriction, block, or warning is handled by unyielding algorithms, which makes the platform feel cold, automated, and entirely unaccountable when errors occur.Actionable Steps to Fix the InterceptionsTo bypass these aggressive automated filters and ensure your hard work gets posted, try the following adjustments:Stop Emailing Images: If you are attaching photos or family history documents to your emails, stop doing so. Send plain-text only emails to your blog address. Once the text publishes, log directly into the Blogger Dashboard via a web browser to upload your images safely.Keep Emails Under 2MB: Ensure your email updates are short and free of complex fonts, signatures, or heavy formatting that bloat the file size.Check Your Settings: Log into your Blogger account and check your Settings > Basic > Adult Content. Ensure that "Show warning to blog readers" is toggled Off (grayed out) so the system knows your family history and political themes are safe for all audiences.Post Directly via Browser: The most foolproof way to avoid getting "intercepted" by the email filter is to stop using the email-to-post feature entirely. Draft your posts directly inside the Blogger website or the official Blogger app, where your account's secure login bypasses the spam filters entirely.9 sitesEmail-to-post on blogger is blocked - Google HelpDoing so, reduces the email to post file size, ensure that the images is managed under my account under the Blogger Media Manager ...Google HelpHow to Resolve Google Blogger Login Issues | Expert Q&AHow to Switch Blogger Account Back to Original Email Address.
