To begin with , " communist " China is not " communist " or even remotely " socialist " . Just as in Leon Trotsky's " The Revolution Betrayed " Stalinist Russia , the Chinese " communist " leaders ended up being the leaders of a new Chinese aristocracy . There is indeed CLASS division in " communist " China . The biggest mistake of the Old Soviet Union was not SOCIALISM, or rather the frustrated attempt at it , but making itself an " officially atheist " tyranny . Can you imagine how this turned off millions of working class Catholics in Old Europe , in Italy , France , Spain, Portugal ( the site of Fatima 1917 ) , in Poland . Turned off millions of " workers of the world " Catholics in the United States , in Canada, Mexico , Cuba and Latin America ? Anti- Stalinist Marxist " vanguard party " organizations today still have not understood this error. And consequently they have ALL stagnated for more than a century now . Oddly enough, today we have the New Atheism Cult New Hate group blaming all the EVIL in the world on RELIGION in general and on a still nearly universal belief in God . They must be adored in " communist " China ! NOTE : the last thing " evangelical " about Chinese communism was Chairman Mao's infamous " Little Red Book " .
