As a longtime independent democratic socialist and a pre-Vatican II type Catholic I would not encourage believers in God to call atheists stupid nor suffer atheists calling Christianity and organized religion in general stupid . There are brilliant personas on both sides . Deep TIME corrects all errors in human thinking . I do not see SCIENCE going on for centuries detecting ,at great tax payer expense, the nth " God Particle ". The Christ of the New Testament , I believe , was a metaphysical LIFE FORCE . So , of course , I still believe in " The Second Coming " ( introduced, I can imagine, by an unusually dazzling display of the Northern Lights and another Fatima like " Miracle of the Sun " . NOTE : [ I will check " Science News " today to see if any progress has been made on discovering the elusive " Son of God " particle.]
