Can anything be more obvious now than that the governments of the world, whatever their squabbles , are fundamentally governments of the bourgeoisie ? In " OUR democracy " no politicians generated by our venerable TWO PARTY STSTEM can or will think outside the box of capitalism , American imperialism , and Israel Zionism . As a longtime independent democratic socialist and a pre-Vatican II type Catholic I am not surprised that hardly any Marxist " vanguard party " has experience exponential growth in these very promising times. The few that I am familiar with each degenerated decades ago into the personality cult of some elderly " living dead " permanent Great Leader . What working class people really need is not the ossified dogma of the ironic petty bourgeois " class struggle " fanatics. They need an American Labor Party similar to the British Labor in having a MASS base but less stuffy and compromised . With modern means of communication -even pernicious AI - a truly mass organization of the working class is far from a daydream . It can learn from the " community building " of Martin Luther King's Civil Rights Movement. No need to turn off the decent middle class ( today in free fall ) or even upper class social moralists ( caught in an existential crisis ) .
