No democratic socialist aware of the CLASS nature of " OUR democracy " will talk foolishly about generic " white privilege " in capitalist USA. No person familiar and sympathetic with the struggles of organized labor in this country would talk petty bourgeois " liberal " drivel about generic " White privilege ". Capitalist exploitation and oppression does not make exceptions for White people. The New England Industrial Revolution was just as horrible for working class White - European and Jewish immigrants here as plantation slavery was for Southern Black people . Even today lengthy unemployment can reduce working class white families to hunger and homelessness just as quickly as it can Black families. By the way, Black Muslim Malcolm X way back in 1965 made a connection between capitalism and racism , between American imperialism and racism. My favorite Malcolm X quote : " show me a capitalist and I will show you a blood sucker ". In contrast to the Islamophobia of the New Atheism Cult groupies Malcolm X insisted that Islam was a religion of peace. For good reasons I see the New Atheism Cult groupies as a New Hate group .
