Why So Many Priests and Pastors Are Secretly Losing Their Faith

Could the tragic loss of faith in Catholicism translate into a stronger faith in capitalism , American imperialism, and Israeli Zionism ? Into MAGA-Republican Christian Zionism ? I ask the New Atheism Cult groupies this question all the time : " What next after your militant atheist epiphany ? " It seems to me that Faith in Science is crumbling even faster than faith in faith ! Any metaphysical revelation after they find the " Son of God " particle ? Or the latest communication from a gravity wave sent from the very beginning of TIME ? How is a " Universe from Nothing " more liberating to believe in than the scientifically naive Old Testament story " Genesis " ? Will the militant atheist , belligerent ZIONIST Jew , right wing philosopher Ayn Rand capture the minds of the New Atheism " Clears " ( like those of the Church of Scientology ) ? Her cult classic book is aptly titled " The Virtue of Selfishness " . As a long time independent democratic socialist ( and a pre-Vatican II type Catholic ) I would rather consult Aquinas and Augustine on abstruse metaphysical questions. And prefer that tradition respecting " leap of faith " to the " leap into the Abyss " of farthest Black Hole. Of course, SCIENCE works just fine in everyday matters . As does LOGIC & REASON -in everyday matters. A famous H.P.
