[The New Atheist Cult icons like scientist Richard Dawkins and their social media evangelists never talk about how THEY apply their deified LOGIC & REASON to the burning evils of our times : global capitalism , American imperialism, Israeli Zionism. Their over the top daily mockery of Christians and Christianity , their anti- Catholic vitriol , and their open Islamophobia , I think ( not as a MAGA Republican but as a longtime independent democratic socialist ) qualifies them collectively as a hate group ( possibly sponsored by secular " Friends of Apartheid Israel " ). The clearest example of a New Atheist icon with a right wing political agenda was the drunken ex-Trotskyist Christopher Hitchens with his hateful cult book : " God Is Not Great -how religion poisons everything " . Hitchens went completely over to American imperialism and Israeli Zionism during the infamous Iraq War of George W.
