@martinsplichal1581 2 weeks ago I think that the impulse to erase the past, for the US, for the Germans and the Israelis is not so much because they don't want " feel bad" because of the past, but to acknowledge and to understand that past would lead to an awareness that we are committing those very crimes today. I wish he and his family well in their future endeavors. I do, however, hope he fully grasps the privilege of being able to leave the country. Most Americans can’t.
