I was just 16 years old and just beginning to radicalize for the " Tumultuous Sixties" when the nation got the breaking news about the death by assassination of JFK. I was curious about young Lee Harvey Oswald's " Marxism". A few years later I learned that real Marxism as practiced by Leon Trotsky condemned any and all individual acts of terrorism.By the begining of the Reagan era in 1980 it seemed to me that most if not all the so called Marxists parties and organizations around the world not Stalinized had degenerated into arid and " officially atheist" sects completely out of touch with ordinary working class people. And they have been paragons of absurd futility ever since.I do give them critical support when they simply explain the truth about global capitalism, American imperialism and Israeli Zionism. I must remain an independent, not " godless " , democratic socialist for what remains of my life.I do not know if the workers of the world can or even wish to establish anything resembling a " dictatorship of the proletariat".George Orwell had some enduring political wisdom on this question.
