Our public libraries are becoming less and less BROWSER FRIENDLY

As one who loves to browse books in the atmosphere of a quiet , spacious dignified public library I fear for the democracy of the printed word. Why should quite worthy old books disappear from library shelves only to be found cheaply FOR SALE on a table near the EXIT doors ? I love all the new technology and use public computers all the time. But they should not ruin the soul of any public library. I love the idea of finding in their dark dusty shelves a book that I read and enjoyed DECADES ago . Presently the public libraries that I visit are less and less BROWSER FRIENDLY. If popular fantasy author Ray Bradbury were around today he would speak out against this sad ANTI-BOOK trend.
