H.P. Lovecraft died in 1937 . Today Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence could have inspired his very UN-WOKE story " Horror at Red Hook " . But if you live in and around Providence for as many years as I have ( born July 26, 1947 ) you can appreciate H.P. Lovecraft's sentiment :
" I AM PROVIDENCE ". Places do grow on you ( like fungi from outer space ? ) .
