I see this issue - a STOLEN election ? - from the perspective of democratic socialism . Which sees the TWO PARTY SYSTEM as a fraud on the working class voter majority in the United States. More than a hundred years ago Eugene V. Debs - an opponent of capitalism and imperialism - made this point while speaking out against The Great War , the " war to make the world safe for democracy ". The capitalist mainstream news media has set itself up as the arbiter of TRUTH and FACTS- even replacing religious tradition as the judge of right and wrong. The American ruling class is divided on how best to defend THEIR way of life which they call " OUR democracy ". A capitalist ruling class in crisis always needs to sell some FOREIGN ENEMY to the angry masses. Since 2016 the DNC has promoted the HATE RUSSIA , New McCarthyism. What was the 2016 presidential election all about ( with both " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders and " America First " nationalist Republican attracting the big , enthusiastic crowds ) but a reflection of mass fury toward the ESTABLISHMENT ? How long will " liberal " Democrats fawn on ESTABLISHMENT hack Joe Biden ? How long can now EX-PRESIDENT Donald Trump be perceived as the root of all evil in " OUR democracy " ?
