The " Church of Marxism " hardly more rational and humane than the Church of Scientology

Chris Hedges has no business calling himself a CHRISTIAN graduate of Harvard Divinity School if he now - all full of himself- wants to collude with the New Atheists in recklessly bashing Christianity as a whole . There was much Catholic Church and Protestant Church based social justice and anti-war movements in the past. I can't imagine Martin Luther King bashing Christian churches . Malcolm X was inspired by Islam . My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I'll show you a blood sucker " . Militant atheism has only inspired totalitarian nightmares around the world- sadly calling themselves " socialist " We " democratic socialists " should want to build bridges to people of FAITH - the vast majority of the human race .

The Catholic Pope just called for a ban on ALL nuclear arsenals . Has any " progressive " Democrat ? There is much Christian Faith based opposition to the state death penalty . Any Democrat presidential candidates passionately opposed to the death penalty?

Any militant atheists in this country active in feeding the hungry or housing the homeless or visiting and comforting the prisoners in our very own American Gulag ?

I find more HATE among " progressive " Democrats than I do among any Christian groups.
Perhaps Chris Hedges is finding inspiration in the likes of Marxist charlatan David North of the Socialist Equality Party . Hedges had a chummy interview with North on his World Socialist Web Site . The topic for discussion being FREE SPEECH on the Internet ! The permanent GREAT LEADER of the SEP is now taking up his annual collection on the WSWS .
The " Church of Marxism " is hardly more humane or rational than the daffy Church of Scientology with its legion of " Clears ". But ex-Christians are welcome if they can only dispense with their souls.
